This movie had one of the best man-to-werewolf transformations
depicted on film. It left me feeling better about myself too, since I
finally met a guy with a back that's hairier than mine. The story
line is great (as well as the make-up) and, for a horror movie, the
acting is pretty good. Of course we always have that tragic ending
you see in so many werewolf films where the guy gets killed in the end
and changes back into human form, lying on the ground dead. But that
pretty much goes with the territory. There is one difference in this
film from your typical werewolf movie, however, and that would be the
fact that the werewolf actually appears more wolf than human. As
opposed to the Lon Chaney Jr. version that appeared more human than
wolf. Which kind of left you saying "Hey, where's the wolf,
man?" |
